Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions Standardizes On Informative
Graphics’ MYRIAD® For Product Design Review
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona - August 31, 2004 — Informative
Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in Web-document and
collaboration technology, announced today that Atlas Copco
Drilling Solutions has selected MYRIAD® professional view and
markup software for use in its design review and production of
world-class drilling and exploration equipment.
Atlas Copco, a Sweden-based international corporation,
recently purchased Ingersoll Rand’s Drilling Solutions Division,
making them the global leader in the design and manufacture of
industrial drilling products. “MYRIAD has long been in use at
Ingersoll Rand, and when something works well, you don’t want to
change it,” said David Bianco, IT/IS Manager - US at Atlas Copco
Drilling Solutions. “It was an easy decision to bring MYRIAD to
Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions – we’ve maintained toolset
continuity and a solid record of internal customer satisfaction
regarding the product,” he added.
MYRIAD is a multi-format viewer that allows Windows users to
view, print, and markup office 2D/3D CAD files documents, and
images, without requiring access to the native authoring
software. Used by thousands of engineering, manufacturing, and
construction companies worldwide since 1991, MYRIAD 2D/3D
viewing offers features and functionality that allow technical
and non-technical personnel alike to interact easily with design
engineering data in hundreds of formats. MYRIAD also supports
automated web publishing with active banners and watermarks to
protect intellectual property when sharing files downstream.
