Informative Graphics Releases Brava! Desktop v1.2
Multi-Format Viewer Gets Dynamic Compare, Save To PDF,
Advanced Redaction
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — August 10, 2005 Informative
Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in content visualization,
secure publishing and collaboration technology, announces the
newest release of its Brava!® Desktop multi-format view, markup
and redaction software, version 1.2. Brava! Desktop is part of
the Brava visualization and annotation/markup product line,
which includes Brava! Enterprise, Brava! Desktop, Brava! Reader and
Brava SDK (Software Developer’s Kit).
Brava! Desktop software enables users to view standard formats
like TIFF, CALS, PDF, CSF, CGM and HPGL plot files, as well as
native formats from programs including Microsoft Office
applications, Visio, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks and
more—all in one easy-to-use Windows desktop application. IGC has
engineered the new Brava! Desktop viewer to handle documents
(with scrollable paging), images and CAD drawings (showing
attributes and including true snap-to-geometry) with equal
fidelity and efficiency.
New features in version 1.2:
Save To PDF: Any document, image or CAD drawing
format type can be converted to PDF. Markups also can be saved
as Adobe annotation elements.
Compare: Drawings and image files can be compared
dynamically (flipping between images using a slider),
side-by-side, or overlaid with differences highlighted. A
drawing/image with markups can be compared to a new revision
to quickly verify that markup changes have been made.
Redaction: Automated redaction finds and redacts
(blocks out sensitive areas from view, print and search) all
targeted words or phrases.
Licensing: Concurrent network licensing enables
license sharing across a local area network deployment.
Brava! Desktop also includes our own Content Sealed Format (CSF),
a superior alternative for secure content distribution over open
format PDF files, which can be edited, converted or changed
using third-party software. CSF incorporates IGC’s Visual
Rights™ persistent security controls, including password
protection, onscreen banners, print and other feature
restrictions, redaction and more. Secure CSF files saved by
Brava! Desktop or published by IGC’s Net-It® publishing products
can be viewed with the free Brava! Reader, which also views PDF
and TIFF.

Brava! Desktop licensing starts at $195 U.S. Markup and office
format support are licensed as add-on options. Standalone and
concurrent networking license are available.
