Informative Graphics Releases Brava!® Enterprise 5.0 With Offline Markup & CSF Visual Rights® Support

New Release Features Support of "Content Sealed Format" (CSF), Offline View and Markup, and Markup Burn-in Viewable by Free Brava! Reader

PHOENIX, Arizona February 25, 2004 -- Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in Web-document and collaboration technology, announced the release of its industry-leading Brava!® Enterprise 5.0 view and markup software, delivering a new standard of viewing versatility for online access to documents, images, and CAD engineering files.

Brava visualization has been adopted by the world's top project and asset management online service providers, such as Meridian Project Systems®, PrimeContract from Primavera, and Constructware®, offers integrations to top content management solutions such as Documentum®, Open Text®, and Microsoft® SharePoint. Brava's architecture allows it to support large user-groups on a single server, making it ideal for enterprise deployments. This architecture eliminates the need for each viewing client to request data (refresh the view) from the server for each zoom and pan operation.

Brava 5.0 creates and views IGC's new "content sealed format" (CSF), which incorporates the Visual Rights® security framework. Visual Rights gives authors selective and persistent security controls over their content. Markups can be "burned-in" to CSF files, and a new Block-out function (redaction) allows users to hide specific file content from view and text searching. CSF files are viewable by Brava! Enterprise and the free Brava! Reader.

Brava! Enterprise 5.0 supports "occasionally-connected" computing, permitting users to save selected files in CSF format to their local machine, and then disconnect from the Brava Server to view and work offline. Markups created or modified while offline can be uploaded and saved to an integrated vault as normal when reconnected to the Brava Server. This allows enterprises to host and centralize access to content across the firewall, without having to share native files or send information by email/fax or courier, and partners, suppliers, and vendors can be granted controlled access to content so they can provide collaborative comments. "Brava! Enterprise definitely sets the bar up another notch for enterprise-class visualization, where cost, scalability, security-consciousness, and versatility are primary factors," said Gary Heath, IGC's President and CEO. "Companies in every industry have a solid basis to consider Brava as a fundamental component in their respective content and document management collaboration strategies," he added.
